Terms of Service

What Unclenching is

Unclenching Companion is a self-awareness companion: daily check-ins, guided practices, reflections, and an AI companion named Sunshine.
It is a wellness and self-observation tool. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you have a health concern, please speak with one.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for the activity on your account.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion removes your check-ins, moments, patterns, and membership permanently.

The Free plan is free, always. Premium is a paid subscription at $12 per month and may begin with a 7-day free trial when offered.
Trials are offered once per person. You are not charged during a trial. At the end of a trial, your subscription continues at the listed price unless you cancel first.
Premium renews automatically each month and is charged to the payment method on file until you cancel. By starting a trial or subscription, you authorise this recurring charge.
You can cancel any time from your Profile — no email or phone call needed. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and everything you recorded stays with you on the Free plan.
If a payment fails, we retry it quietly and let you know — nothing is switched off without warning.
If our pricing ever changes, we will tell you by email before the new price applies to your subscription.

Monthly payments are generally non-refundable for the current billing period, except where the law requires otherwise. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the period already paid.
If something went wrong with a charge — a duplicate, a charge after you cancelled, or a trial that should not have converted — write to support@unclenchingcompanion.com and we will make it right.
Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Refund confirmations are always sent by email, and banks typically post the amount within 5–10 business days.

Please don't misuse the service, attempt to access another member's information, or use the companion to store or share unlawful content.
We may suspend accounts that put other members or the service at risk — never without trying to reach you first.

Everything in Unclenching — the books from the Unclenching series, the awareness methodology, the practices and exercises, the Sunshine AI companion experience, journal prompts and reflections, illustrations and photographs, guided audio recordings, website and app content, branding, emails, and all other educational materials — is the original work of Veronica Raleigh, who created it and owns its copyright. It is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
The Unclenching name and marks, and the Sunshine companion name and experience, are likewise the property of Veronica Raleigh.

Your membership gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Unclenching for your own self-awareness practice.
You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, republish, resell, or create derivative works from any part of the service — including book excerpts, exercises, journal content, illustrations, audio, or emails — without prior written permission. Your own check-ins and reflections are yours, always.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep it reliable and gentle, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.
Unclenching is a wellness and self-observation tool. Nothing in the service — including anything Sunshine says — is medical, psychological, or other professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unclenching is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be heard exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction.
Before filing anything, please write to support@unclenchingcompanion.com first — most concerns can be resolved person to person.

How we collect, use, and protect your information — including your rights under GDPR and CCPA — is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before they take effect.
