Privacy Policy

What we collect

Your account details: your email address and the name you choose to share.
Your practice: check-ins, moments of awareness, reflections, body-area selections, and audio sessions you choose to record.
Conversations with Sunshine: what you share with the AI companion, so it can respond with continuity and care.
Technical basics: device type and coarse usage events that help us keep the app reliable. We do not run advertising trackers.

To provide the companion: remembering your patterns, showing your timeline, and letting Sunshine respond in context.
To process your subscription through our payment provider, which receives only what a payment requires.
To send you the emails you would expect: confirmations, receipts, and — only while they feel useful — gentle weekly notes.
We never sell your information, and we never use your private reflections for advertising.

Payments: Stripe processes your subscription and stores your payment method. Stripe receives only what a payment requires — we never see or store your full card number.
Support email: our support inbox is hosted by Zoho Mail, so messages you send to support@unclenchingcompanion.com are processed there.
Hosting and infrastructure: the app, its database, and email delivery run on Lovable Cloud.
AI processing: when you talk with Sunshine, your messages are processed by AI language models through Lovable's AI gateway, solely so Sunshine can respond to you in context. Your conversations are never sold and never used for advertising.
Each provider processes information only as needed to deliver its service to us, under its own privacy terms.

We use only essential browser storage: secure sign-in session tokens, so you stay signed in, and small preferences that remember how you like the app set up.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or analytics beacons that follow you around the web.
You can clear this storage in your browser at any time — you will simply be asked to sign in again.

You can review and erase what Sunshine remembers from the Memory page at any time.
You can quiet optional weekly notes from your Profile with one switch. Transactional emails — receipts, security and account notices — still arrive, because they are part of the service.
You can export or permanently delete your account and everything in it from your account settings. Deletion is immediate and complete.
Every email we send carries a working reply address — a person reads what comes back.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to export it in a portable form, and to have it erased.
You may also restrict or object to certain processing, and — where processing is based on consent, such as optional weekly notes — withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting anything processed before.
Most of these rights are self-service inside the app (Profile, Memory, and Account & security). For anything else, write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used — that is this policy — and the right to correct it and to delete it.
You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights — the companion and its pricing are the same for everyone.

Unclenching is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If you believe a child has created an account, write to support@unclenchingcompanion.com and we will remove it.

Your data is stored encrypted, and each member's information is isolated so only you can read your own practice.
Guided audio and personal records are served through signed, private access rather than public links.
